"Betty" Maude E. Kroplin Lanning passed away peacefully May 15, 2015 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA.


Betty was born in Hornell, NY, September 19, 1927 to Clarence and Lena Kessler.


She was a resident of Spencer, NY for nearly 70 years. She retired at age 80 after being the Spencer Town Assessor for many years.


She is survived by her husband, Paul, her five children, Connie "Tom" Haynes, Patty, Carman, Frank Kroplin Jr., and Barbara "Larry" Siany. She is also survived by her wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom loved her dearly.


She was predeceased by her first husband, Frank D. Kroplin; her daughter, Judy M. Kroplin Martin and her sisters, Helen "Dennis" McGinnis, and Carol "Glen " McGee.


A special mention to Paul's daughter, .... for taking such good care of Betty.


Graveside services will be Monday, May 18, 2015 at 4:00 pm at Evergreen Cemetery, Spencer, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to hospice of your choice.
