Angell Oliver Adkins, 81, of Edgewood Drive, Lenoir, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003, at Caldwell County Hospice. She was born Aug. 28, 1921 in Alexander County to the late Thomas James Oliver and Ella Mae Isenhour Oliver. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ophelia Baker and Thelma Oliver; five brothers, Baskell Oliver, Rayford Oliver, Paul Oliver, Norris Oliver and Thomas Oliver, Jr. She was a homemaker and a member of College Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Billie "Robbie" and Roxie A. Clark of Lenoir and Cynthia A. Watkins of Lenoir; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Howard (Christine) Roper, Ruth Setzer, Mr. and Mrs. Bill. (Ramona) Icenhour and Mr. and Mrs. J. C. (Marceline) Knight, all of Lenoir; six grandchildren, Stephanie Robertson, Andy Clark, Brad Clark, Dawn Watkins, Brittany Watkins, and Tiffany Watkins, and three great-grandchildren, Morgan Walker, Caden Davis and Gavin Davis. The funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday at Pendry's Chapel with the Rev. David Everett officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be: Billie "Robbie" Clark, Andy Clark, Brad Clark, Randy Roper, Gwyn Icenhour, Ray Parsons, and additional nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
