Mable Jean Snooks passed away on at the age of 86 at Carson Hospital due to a lengthy illness. She was born to Bob and Jennie Snooks. She attended schools in Beowawe and then on to high school at the Stewart Indian School in Carson City where she graduated in 1945. She then went on to get her BA at Bacone College in Oklahoma. She came back to Elko, NV where she went to work at the First National Bank of Nevada for four years and then transferred to Carson City where she had retired thirty five years later.
Her favorite hobbies were gardening, bird-feeding, quilting, painting, and bowling.
She is survived by her cousins Webb Brady, Clifford and Carrie Dann, Gladys Jonnie, and Barbara Ridley. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, George, Howard, Ossie, Floyd and Frank Jr; aunts, Noonie Clark, Alice Jackson, Sophie Dann, and Eva Brady Piffero; niece, Orla Kaye Murphy.
