William Richard "Bill" Rolles
was born February 17, 1918 in
Lynnville, Iowa to Elias and
Avis Rolles. He attended various
rural schools in his youth.
Bill entered the United
States Army on November 23.
1942, serving with the Army
Field Artillery and Military
Police during World War II He
was honorably discharged on
January 4,1946.
On October 6, 1941, Bill was
united in holy matrimony to
Ruby Hatterman in Plattsmouth,
Neb. Their marriage
was blessed with four children-
William, Larry, Terry and Lisa.
Bill was a loving husband
and a devoted father who treasured
any time he could spend
with his family. He was
employed as a trucker, at the
Cobblestone Inn in Lakeside
and as the Superintendent of
the Storm Lake City Streets
Department. He retired in
1982. Bill was a member of St.
John's Lutheran Church in
Storm Lake.
Those left to cherish his
memory include his sons:
William W. Rolles of Omaha,
Neb., Larry R. Rolles of Omaha,
Neb. and Terry L. Rolles of West
Des Moines; daughter Lisa Hott
of Storm Lake; grandchildren
Gene Neeman of Lincoln, Neb.,
Kellie and Kylon Rolles of
Omaha, Neb., Kym Abraham.

Council Bluffs, Chad Rolles of
Omaha, Neb., Mindee Skuya of
Omaha, Nebraska, Marisa
Rolles of Trophy Club, Tex.,

by his parents; his wife Ruby on
September 24, 2001; his brothers
Elias, Robert, DeVern and
Roy, and his sisters: Meriam,
Jean and Nannette.
