Mary Frances Abramovich, 95, passed away on July 13, 2011, at Bishop Drumm Care Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, at Our Lady of Peace Chapel, Bishop Drumm, in Johnston. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the mass. Burial will follow the mass at Beaver Catholic Cemetery in Granger, Iowa.

Mary was born on May 7, 1916, to Gasper and Antonia Abramovich. She lived in Granger in one of the original homesteads for most of her life, before moving to Johnston in December 2004. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Granger for many years. She retired from Look Magazine as a customer service representative after 27 years. Mary then took on the role as her family's caregiver. She enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Mary will be missed by her brother, Joe; and many cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Margaret and Katie; and brothers, Frank and Bill. Memorial contributions may be made to Assumption Catholic Church.
