Mr. Vanderhoof lived in the Cadillac area all his life. He graduated from Cadillac High School and served two years in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed at Michigan Bell Telephone Co. for 37 years, retiring in 1984.
He was a life member of AMVETS and was a member of the American Legion of Cadillac and the Michigan Bell Telephone Pioneers. He enjoyed cars, gardening and going for rides in the country.
