Jennie Bell (Morris) Roop was born on May 9, 1895 in Davidson County, Tennessee, the daughter of Joseph Ezekiel Morris (1868-1945) and his wife Martha Jane (Meadows) Morris (1869-1958).
She was married as the 1st wife of Charles Edward Roop (1888-1965). After Jennie passed away, Charles was married 2nd to Mary Estell (Napier) Binkley (1910-1986). And, although Mary was later married in 1967 to Lawrence Dayton Thomas, when she died, she was buried under the name Roop.
Living at 222 Foster Street, Nashville, Jennie was 46 years old and married when she died of chronic cardiovascular disease on October 11, 1941 at Nashville's Protestant Hospital where she had been for seven days. Burial was two days later in Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville.
