Johnnie Enda Johnson went to be with the Lord on Sunday (Mother's Day) May 10, 2015. She died at her home in Frederick, Oklahoma, at the age of 85 years, seven months and five days. She was born October 5, 1929, in Alex, Oklahoma, to Walter B. and Bessie Lee (Stanley) Airington. She attended Frederick schools. She was united in marriage to Leonard Johnson on July 3, 1948, at Vernon, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 12, 1983. After her husband’s military service, they lived in California before returning to Manitou and then after his death, she moved to Frederick. She loved to read and she loved her family and all of her family’s friends as well. She treated everyone like they were her own family. She was a homemaker and a Pentecostal.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Sharon Faye Cook on January 9, 2004; and nine siblings: Jake, Levi, Cecil, Franklin, Beulah Mae, Willann, Lenora, Betty and Ruby.
She is survived by two sons: Leonard Britten “Sonny” Johnson, of Frederick, Oklahoma, and Charles Eugene Johnson, of Kissimmee, Florida; three daughters: Nora Lee Palmer, San Bernardino, California, Connie Mae House, of Arizona, and Rita Marlene Watton, of Frederick, Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
