Nancy Jane Moss Puett Clark obituary

When Nancy was 16 years old, she moved from Clay County Indiana with her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Samuel Moss, to mercer County Missouri, where she Resided until 1883. She then moved to Minburn Iowa & lived there for 40 years. She was married to Elisha Puett in 1867. To this union, she had two children. In 1879, she married James Bunker Clark who preceded her in death, February 22, 1904. Elisha & Nancy had 4 children, 3 daughters and 1 son. Nancy passed away due to complication of diseases. She was in poor health for about 3 years, then was taken to her daughter, Mrs. Meda McKinney, for better care. She was preceded in death by her husband and two daughters, Laura Ireland & Myra Brenton. She is survived by 3 daughters, 1 son & a stepson, 3 brothers, Robert Moss of Minburn Iowa, & Samuel & John of Moss of Canesville Missouri. And 2 sisters, Mrs. Mary Edmundson of Minburn Iowa & Mrs. Ollie Puett of Joliet, Illinois. She had 26 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren & 1 great great granddaughter. She was loved by her husband & children and respected by her acquaintances. None knew her but to love her. None named her, but to praise her. Her funeral was held at her daughter, Meda's home. She was 77 years old at the time of her death.
