COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY – 08/19/1963
Clarence W. DeRossette, 59, a conductor for the Louisville & Nashville Railroad for 39 years, died Sunday morning [August 18, 1963] at Methodist Evangelical Hospital. He lived at 4903 S. Third. DeRossette was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. He was a native of Hardin County. Surviving are his wife, the former Bessie J. Haggart; a daughter, Mrs. Juanita Repka; a son, Fred Taylor; three sisters, Miss Mae M. DeRossette, Mrs. Helen O. Warns, and Mrs. Blanche L. Norris; and four grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Arch L. Heady Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Boulevard. Burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery.

DeRossette (nee Haggart) and loving father of Mrs. Juanita Repka and Mr. Alfred Taylor; brother of Miss Mae M. DeRossette, Mrs. Helen O. Warns and Mrs. Blanche L. Norris. Also survived by four grandchildren. Mr. DeRossette is resting at the Arch L. Heady Southern Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Where services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. by Dr. W.R. Pettigrew, Pastor of Walnut Street Baptist Church. Interment in Cave Hill Cemetery.
