His married son, Jacob, is with him (from Grayson Co., KY) apparently helping him farm. There are two boys John,age 12, and Josiah, age 9, also listed. It is a guess that these boys are the sons of one his two children, Andrew (27), or Jacob (38), who are staying there. According to Kessinger Ancestry of Hazel A. Spraker, in Hart Co. statistics it is found that Solomon Kessinger, Sr. and Solomon Kessinger, Jr., together with William Joseph, Peter and Issac Kessinger were taxpayers in Hart Co., 1819--the first year of formation of this county, this part taken from Hardin.Tax Hart Co. (KY) List for 1819: Bacon Creek--Solomon Kessinger, 140 acres; William Kessinger, 120 acres; Solomon Kessinger, 200 acres; Joseph Kessinger, 113 acres. There were grants for Peter and Isaac Kessinger, likewise. May have been born in Pennsylvania and moved to Kentucky early in his life. G.P.O. list of Kentucky Taxpayers in 1800:Hardin Co: Andrew Kessinger, Joseph Kessinger, Solomon Kessinger, James Logsdon, William Logsdon, Thomas Logsdon, Sr. Barren Co: John Logsdon, Thomas Logsdon, Sr., Thomas Logsdon, Solomon Kessinger and Thomas Logsdon, August 8, 1804, deed to Solomon Kessinger, Jr., for five shillings, 33 acres on Beacon Creek (part of land called for in a bond given by Thomas Logsdon to said Solomon Kessinger, Jr., bond bearing date of Apr.18, 1803. The deed was dated Oct. 11, 1804. (B-435)Solomon Kessinger, Jr., Aug. 8, 1804 deeds to Thos. Arterberry 33 acres on Beacon Creek, Hardin Co. (B-485). Birth and death years are from Atterbury and Kessinger Notes. Solomon Kessinger, Jr., buys of John Milles (acres - ?) on July 13, 1812, land on Beacon Creek. (E-79).
