E. Katherine Graves, 87, Avon, passed away October 3, 2010 in the Hendricks Regional Health, Danville. Services were Wednesday, October 6, in the Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with burial in Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown. Contributions may be made to one's favorite charity.

Born December 18, 1922 in Hendricks County, she was the daughter of Edgar and Amy Woodrum Byram. She was a graduate of Lizton High School, a charter member of the Avon Christian Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She married Robert O. Graves on October 19, 1941 and he preceded her in death in May of 1992. Mrs. Graves worked as a clerk for the Hendricks County Assessor's Office for over 10 years.

Survivors include her son, Robert K. Graves of Plainfield; daughter, Glenna Sharon Smith of North Carolina; brothers, Paul Byram of Pittsboro, John Byram of Brownsburg; sisters, Norma Griggs of Danville, Ann Leach of Avon; four grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Two sisters, Judy Rogers and Shirley Moody, preceded in death.
