Mildred (Cook) Champion, 87, formerly of Anniston, Alabama, died on May 3, 2015 at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler, Texas. Graveside service: May 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Forestlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation: May 8, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home. She is survived by her two daughters, son, sister, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Champion was a native of Lindale, Texas and was a former resident of Tyler, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Vernon Champion; parents, Arthur and Oma (Couch) Cook; sisters, Etta, Eula, Evelyn, Flora and Dorothy; brothers, Paul, John, Earl and Arthur and a grandson, Stephen Champion.
