Darlington -- William "Bill" Rogers Quick , age 82, passed away Wed, May 6, 2015 at Forsyth Hospital in Winston Salem, NC.

A graveside service will be held 4 pm Sat, May 9 at Mechanicsville Baptist Church Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Frankie Tanner, directed by Belk Funeral Home.

Born in Darlington Co., Bill was the son of the late Frank Luther Quick and Pearl Gilmore Quick.

Mr. Quick served for 13 years in the Army National Guard, and then worked for many years as a salesman. Bill was a Mason, a member of Gideon Assoc., and Woodmen of the World. He loved his animals, Baxter, Molly, Betsy, and his constant companion, his cat Willie, but most of all he loved sharing the word of God.

Surviving are his wife Winona Maxine Hall Quick of Mocksville, NC, his children, Judy (Clyde) Turner of Florence, Walter (Patricia) Quick of Clarksville, KY, Lacy (Cathy) Quick of Florence, William (Linnea) Rogers Quick, Jr. of Charleston, Tony (Patty) Quick of Myrtle Beach, Gregory (Nancy) Quick of Jacksonville, FL, Lisha (James) McCall of Florence, his step-children, Sherry (Richard) Barefoot of Mocksville, NC, Janis (Randy) Clark of Chapmanville, WV, his brother, Robert Quick of Erlanger, KY, 18 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 13 g-grandchildren, and 3 step-g-grandchildren.

Preceded in death are his daughter, Wendy Quick, his brothers, Thomas, Allen, Fred, J.W., and Frank Quick , his sisters, Beulah King, Irene Freeman, and Doris Odom.

The family would like to thank Nellie, Renee, employees of Davie County Home Healthcare, and the doctors and nursing staff of Forsyth Hospital.
