Death notice
The Bossier Banner
Dec. 26, 1912, pg. 3b
"A Plain Dealing friend writes us as follows under date of the 20th: "I expected you would have been furnished notice of the death of Mr. Richmond Bounds of Ivan, but you were not. When you get the information you can truthfully say that he bore a reputation for honesty and integrity not surpassed by any. He was engaged in the battle of Peachtree Creek, near Atlanta, Ga., and helped to carry rails to burn the bridge. He told me this during November." Not hearing other information at hand, we make use of the above. Mr. Bounds, we think, died one day last week. We are unable to give his age or family connection. He was no doubt a worthy and well thought of citizen."
