Born in Louisiana to David Wilson Forrest and Mae Walker Forrest, he was a resident of Port Neches for forty four years and was a retired Instrument Tech at Quantum with 12 years of service.
He was a member of a Masonic Lodge in Louisiana, El Mina Shrine Galveston, Scottish Rite Galveston and served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He was survived by his wife, Shirley Forrest; two daughters, Susan Youngblood and husband, Paul; and Gwen Hill and husband, Mark; two sons, David Forrest and wife, Jane and Danny Forrest and wife, Connie; sister, Doris McClure; eleven grandchildren, Jeremy Forrest, Matthew Hill, Krystina Forrest, Melissa Hill, Jessica Blackwell, Michelle Blackwell, Kaitlin Forrest, Greg Youngblood, Logan Forrest, Adam Youngblood, and Eric Youngblood.
Funeral services will be held at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Rev. David Mahfouz and Rev. Bennie Patillo officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park.
