Evelyn Boehme, 92, of The Woodlands, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at her home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at 11 a.m., Friday, May 8, at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel, Waco, with The Rev Larry Felice and Harold Federwisch officiating. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park.
Evelyn was born in Riesel, Texas, to the late Ewald and Elizabeth Courtade Engelke. A graduate of Riesel High School, Evelyn spent her business career at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur Herman "Buddy" Boehme on April 15, 1984, and Gene F. Sutton; daughter, Janice Welch and husband, Wade; son, Larry Glen Boehme; sister, Rose Jackson; and brother, Raymond Engelke.
Survivors include grandson, Brian Welch and wife, Charita; great-grandson, Jared Welch; daughter-in-law, Cindy Boehme; brother, Walter Engelke and wife, Elizabeth; nieces: Sharon Caddell and husband, Michael, Rita Clendennen and husband, Gary, Anne Engelke, Janell Engelke, Susan Lewis and husband, Keith, and Donna Lloyd Lovretovich and husband, Joe; nephews, Kenneth Ray Engelke, and Michael McFerrin and wife, Robbye; sister-in-law, Margie Radke; other relatives and many friends.
