Leroy Gabbard, 69, of 307 Phillips Ave., Huntsville, died July 27, 1993, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Dec. 12, 1923, at Health, Ark., the son of William Lloyd and Beulah Josephine Ritchie Gabbard. He was a retired automobile bodyman and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Audrey Nelson Gabbard of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Long of Cullman, Ala., and Miss Tina Gabbard of Little Rock; his mother, Mrs. Beulah Gabbard of Elkins; four sisters, Mrs. Lorene Provence and Mrs. Jean Shackelford, both of Elkins, Mrs. Sue Baker of Delaney, and Mrs. Mary Lou Boham of West Fork; one grandson, Jared Long of Cullman, Ala.; and one granddaughter, Miss Lisa Long of Cullman, Ala.

Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Friday, July 30, a the Ledbetter Cemetery with the Rev. Dean Baker officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Nathan Gaskill, Mike Parson, Mike Nelson, Rodney Nelson, and Terry Nelson.
