Vernal - Ira Kimball Bascom, 81, died Saturday night at residence after an illness. Born March 26, 1873 in Mona, Juab County, son of Joel Almond and Alice Jane Bell Bascom. Married Alice Rasmussen Jan. 23, 1911, in Vernal.

Survivors, widow; three sons of Roosevelt and Vernal; 13 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Mary Ellen Stanley, Murray.

Funeral Thursday 1 p.m. in Naples LDS Ward Chapel. Friends call at Vernal Mortuary Wednesday evening and at the family residence Thursday 10 a.m. to time of services. Burial Vernal Memorial Park Cemetery.
