Della Was born May 26th and Raised in Indiana Harbor. She was an honors student at East Chicago Washington High School ranking 3rd in her graduating class. Prior to marrying Don, she was a legal secretary for several years. Della and her family moved to Highland, in 1957, where she was a long-time member of Our Lady of Grace Church and active in the Altar and Rosary Sodality.
Della was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother whose life was devoted to her family. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles (in ink), reading mystery novels, shopping and traveling. An excellent cook, she specialized in preparing traditional Lithuanian dishes in her own mothers style. Della's smile, twinkling eyes, and dimples were most captivating, and her sense of humor was unmatched. She will be dearly missed, to say the least. A special thank you is extended to everyone at Holy Family Villa in Palos Park, IL . Della's final years were enriched by the tender care she received from the aids, nurses, and all staff members.
