William Clarence Lankster Jr., 87, of Catlin died at 5:42 p.m. Monday (May 4, 2015) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
William was born Nov. 29, 1927 in Limestone County, Alabama to William Clarence and Nina Irene Aldridge Lankster Sr. He married Annie Lora Frazier on April 5, 1947 in Madison, Alabama. She preceded him in death on April 9, 2015. He was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Surviving are four sons, Harris (Dolores) Lankster, Leland (Patty) Lankster, Terry (Dorothy) Lankster and Jeff (Donna) Lankster; three brothers, James C. Lankster, Cordell Lankster and Wayne Lankster; three sisters, Bertha Hyde, Gladys Hamilton and Fay Laraeu; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
William was retired from General Motors.
