MSgt. Charles R. Howard, USAF (Ret.)
August 14, 1940 - May 4, 2015

Charles R. Howard, 74 entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 4, 2015.
Mr. Howard was born in Brunswick, Georgia in 1940. He served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1962 until 1994 and was instrumental in ensuring all air assets remained air-worthy. Upon retiring from active duty, Charles continued this career in a civil service capacity. His service took him all over the world, however, Maine (Loring Air Force Base) and Georgia (Robins Air Force Base) remained his favorite tours of duty. Charles was an avid angler that never met a bass he couldn't hook. His Military Service, family, and fishing were his passion. Charles will be remembered for the heart of gold he displayed toward all who knew him.
He was preceded in death, by his loving wife and soul mate, Shirley J Howard; and grandparents, Ellick and Clevel Harrelson.
Visitation will be Friday, May 8, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Jeff Cleghorn officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery with full military honors.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to friends who helped brighten dad's life.
