Carroll Cannefax, died suddenly at his home in Dayton, Oregon, of diabetic coma on February 27, 2011. He was 68.

Carroll was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and spent his youth in Hawaii. He moved to Oregon in 1967, shortly after his marriage to Jill Erickson, and farmed for her uncle, Adolph Schutz. After retiring ten years ago, he became a passionate and devoted restoration volunteer at Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum.

Carroll was preceded in death by his father Stuart "Pinky" Eugene Cannefax and his mother Robbie Rhea (Elms) Cannefax Kilmer.

Carroll is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jill Erickson Cannefax, and his siblings, Candace (Cannefax) Fladd Titsworth of Van Buren, Arkansas and Stuart (Pam) Cannefax, Jr., of Mansfield, Arkansas. He never had any children.

Celebration of Life will be Sunday, March 20, 2011, 1:30PM, at the Missile Museum, Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum, Three-mile Lane (Hwy 18), McMinnville, OR 97128, casual dress is requested.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jill Cannefax for NOURISH THE CHILDREN, 16235 SE Wallace Road, Dayton, Oregon 97114.
