Veteran of WWII Army Air Corps - 13th Airborne Division. Beloved husband of the late Bernice (nee Berstein). Loving father of Burton (Patti) Odelson and Larry (Susan) Odelson. Zayde of Brian, Jill, Josh, Courtney and Dustin. Great Zayde of Abigail and Lucy. Cherished son of Sam and Rose (nee Gorden). Fond brother of Irving, Belle Epstein and Sidney and the late: Harry, Jack, Oscar, Mike, Joe, Roy, Julius, Ida Berz and Ann Kaplan. He served his country overseas with his seven brothers in the US Army. He was a Staff Sergeant who was awarded three Bronze Star medals for meritorius service. He was a member of Jewish War Veterans, Bnai Brith, the Elks Club in Alsip and a counselor for AZA. He will be missed by Las Vegas. Funeral services Thursday, 10:30 am at the Piser Chapel, 9200 N. Skokie Blvd. (at Church St.) Skokie, Illinois. Interment Westlawn Cemetery. Memorials to: Lung Association and the Heart Association would be appreciated.
