William Russell Stepheson (son of William Benjamin Stepheson and Mae Reeves) was born January 11, 1922 in Texas and died March 22, 1969 in Denton, Texas. He married Viola Marie Harris. They divorced in June of 1952. He served in the U. S. Navy in WWII as an Electrician’s mate second class and saw active duty in both Europe and the pacific. He completed seven months of sea duty and won seven battle stars for major operations in the Pacific aboard the battleship Alabama. He is buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Denton, Denton County, Texas.
