Clifton was a 1956 graduate of Kokomo High School. He retired from Chrysler Corporation in 1988 after 32 years of service, where he had been a plant engineer and maintenance supervisor. Clifton was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. His hobbies included, cut out coin jewelry, riding motorcycles and playing golf. He also like to entertain people, sing at church and was an avid dog lover.
Clifton is survived by his loving wife, two sons and daughter-in-laws, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three brothers, two sisters, and stepmother.
Clifton was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Wanda McClory; and brother, William Bagby.
