ADELINE QUINLAN

June 20, 1914 - June 29, 2014 Delina Quinlan gently passed away on June 29, 2014, nine day s after a joyous family celebration of her 100th birthday. A first generation San Franciscan, she was born to Emma and Francisco Roberto of Italy. In 1935 she married Jack Quinlan and together raised their daughters Bobbie Alexander (Tom), Gerry Ganson (Stu), Joan Suarez (Chuck), and Nancy Quinlan (Jon Smith). She deeply loved her brothers Louie (Adelaide), Freddie, Johnny, and Butch (Alvena), and her brother-in-laws Dan (Barbara), Jerry (Duffy), and Cornelius, all of whom predeceased her. She is survived by eight grandkids and their spouses, 10 great-grandkids, a host of Irish and Italian nieces and nephews, and she embraced her caregiver Lo as an extended family member. She was preceded in death by her husband, grandson Justin, and son-in-law Jon. Delina lived her last months with grace and humor, loved playing Skipbo, and munching on chocolate and cookies - but most of all she loved smiles, laughter, and us. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 12 noon, St. Mary's Church, 58th and M Streets in Sacramento. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Loaves and Fishes, PO Box 13495, Sacramento, CA 95813 or www.sacloaves.org.
