A. Linwood Page, 93, of rural Slater, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at Slater Christian Church. Debbie Roath will officiate. Organist Bethany Weiker will accompany Robert Sisney singing "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Pallbearers will be Mark Page, Jason Green, Lee McClelland, Kevin Vaughn, David Winston and Jim Edwards. Visitation will be from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Slater City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Slater Christian Church or Big Bend Retreat.Born March 1, 1911, in rural Slater, he was the son of the late Walter Allen and Myrtle Sowers Page. On Sept. 22, 1932, he married Goldie Nita Morris, who preceded him in death Feb. 19, 1974. On Aug. 3, 1974, he married Clara Mae Ellis Bonar, who preceded him in death March 12, 2004. He was a member of Slater Christian Church and was a retired farmer and a lifelong rural Slater resident.Survivors include one son, Morris Allen Page and wife Dee of Cameron; three daughters, Donna Osment and husband Jim of Blue Springs, Golda McClelland and husband George of Checotah, Okla., and Linda Vaughn of North Kansas City; one brother, Donald Page of Slater; three stepchildren; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
