CULBERTSON -- Mrs. Eva Blanche McBee, daughter of George and Prudence Morrison, was born May 2, 1875 at Findley, Ohio and died October 28, 1965 at the age of 90 at the Barnes Nursing Home, Wauneta. As a small child she moved with her parents to Pratt, Kansas where the family homesteaded. She was married August 31, 1892 to John F. McBee and eight children were born to this union.

For 15 years the family lived on a farm near Trenton and in 1915 they moved to the Culbertson community. She was a resident of Hitchcock County for 64 years and was a member of the Culbertson Methodist Church for 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; a son, Ben; and daughter, Mrs. Florence Horn.

Survivors are three sons, Frank of Culbertson; Elmer of Salem, Oregon; and Charles of Wilhelmina, Oregon; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Smith of McCook; Mrs. Edna Goodrich of Denver; and Mrs. Eva Wood, Lincoln; 20 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Services were held October 30, 1965 at the Herrmann Chapel in Culbertson with interment in the Culbertson Cemetery.
