Elbert “Bud” Broughton, age 92, of McComb passed away April 30 , 2015, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green. He was born on June 13, 1922, in Siloam, Ky,, the son of the late Edward and Susie (VanSikle) Broughton. On June 7, 1947, he married Faye Corns in Greenup, Ky, and she survives. Bud is also survived by son, Rick (Ann) Broughton of Weston, Oh; 2 grandchildren, Steve (Kristina) Broughton, Tim (Nikki) Broughton and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, John and Leonard Broughton. Elbert, a Kentucky Colonel, retired from the Signal Department of the CSX Railroad in 1987, he was a W.W. II Army veteran serving with the 112th Cavalry and a member of the McComb Church of Christ. Funeral Services will be held at the HARTLEY-LEHTOMAA FUNERAL HOME, 370 Park Drive S., McComb, Ohio, at 1:00 PM Monday, May, 4, 2015, with Rev. Rob Breititam, Rev. Steve Broughton and Rev. Tim Broughton officiating. Interment will follow at McComb Union Cemetery with military rites accorded by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad. Friends and family will be received on Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions be made to McComb Church of Christ or Bridge Hospice.
