Raymond Ralph Carter, 60, formerly of Carrollton, Ky., died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany.
He was born Feb. 13, 1944, in Carrollton, the son of Noble L. Carter and Margaret L. Garriott Carter. He retired from Ford Motor Truck Plant in Louisville, Ky., where he was a member of the United Auto Workers.
He is survived by one daughter, Lesley Ann Childers of Palmyer; two sons, Jim Joslin and Jason Douglas Carter, both of Louisville, Ky.; three brothers, Otis Carter of Campbellsburg, Ky., Douglas Carter of Poke City, Fla., and Lyter Carter of Louisville, Ky.; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, May 3, 1983, and his mother, Jan. 1, 1983.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. EDT Monday at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky. Burial will be in Carrollton IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. EDT Sunday and after 9 a.m. EDT Monday.
