Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed from this earth into the loving arms of Our Heavenly Father on Monday, October 15, 2012 at the age of 79 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born September 30, 1933 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico.
Left to cherish his memory his beloved wife Paula Ruiz De Canales; six sons; Juan Jesus Canales, Ernesto Canales, Martin, Canales, Everardo Canales, Jorge Canales, Jesus Canales; five daughters; Griselda Alfaro, Maria Josefina Aguilar, Patricia Ortiz, Veronica Castaneda, Maria Guadalupe Garza;
two sisters Guadalupe Canales, Juana Vida de Campos; Fifty-three Grandchildren and numerous Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren.
Visitation was held Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and a religious service was also held at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Remembrance of Riojas Funeral Home. A Holy Mass was held Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Sacred Heart Church at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed at Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery.
