Eileen Marie Burge was born on August 19, 1927, the daughter and 3rd child of William John Burge and Caroline Catherine "Carrie" Staley Burge. She graduated from St. Justin High School, in the Mt. Washington neighborhood of Pittsburgh.

Eileen Marie (Burge) Unitas of South Park passed away on Monday, May 12, 2003.

She was the beloved mother of Lynn (Paul) Heagy, Connie Rucker, and
Leonard (Cindy) Unitas; the proud grandmother of Kelly (Brian) Sagel, Brad Heagy, Ashley Rucker, Beckie and Lenny Unitas; and great-grandmother of Cole Sagel.

Eileen is also survived by her sisters:
Charlotte Margarette (Fred) Marvin, Naples, Florida;
Norma Jean Hochendoner, Pittsburgh;
Mary LaVerne (William) Little, Pittsburgh;
and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and by her brother William Joseph Burge.

Arrangements were by the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Brentwood.
Viewing was private. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, in the Pleasant Hills suburb of Pittsburgh on Wednesday, May 14, at 11:30am. The family requests memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
