Mr. Charles Hiram Aytch was divorced and normally lived near Reedsport and east of town. His death certificate reported that he was born in 1864. But, other reliable information points to his having been born in 1866 and it's so reported here. Charles' parents were Mr. William Henry and his wife, Mrs. Amanda C. [Rogers] Aytch. His mother was born in Tennessee, about March 1845 and his father was born, in about, 1824, in New York State. For a time the family lived in Cow Creek, Douglas, Oregon which is near both the town of Riddle and Canyonville. All three being early towns in the Oregon Territory.

Another error on his Oregon Death Certificate is the middle name given for his father as Edward. When in fact his father's name can be seen in the paragraph above. It is strongly believed that both his parents died in Idaho. They both lived long lives and there are U.S. Federal Census reports leading to that conclusion. Further, his brother Mr. Alonzo Maron Aytch is also interred here and his Oregon Death Certificate is more reliable and was filled out by their sister, Mrs. Minnie Evelyn Allen.
