OBITUARY:

Minerva Atkinson

Minerva Atkinson, 91, lifetime resident of Morocco, died Monday, April 30 at 3 a.m. at Lake Holiday Manor near Roselawn.

Born April 19, 1893 in Morocco, she was the daughter of Albert and Flora Chizum Roadruck.

On Jan. 15, 1914 at Kentland, she married Fred Atkinson, who preceded her in death in 1971. She was a member of the Morocco United Methodist Church, the Fleur di Li Club and the Bunco Club.

Surviving are one son, Bernard Atkinson, Morocco, two daughters, Mrs. Adam (Elsie) Styck, Kentland, and Mrs. Ethel Zacharias, Morocco, five grandchildren, nine great-granchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.

One brother preceded her in death.

Funeral services will take place at the Cardwell Funeral Home, Morocco, on Wednesdy, May 2 at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Norman Glassburn officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery.
