CLARA STOTLER SUCCUMBS
MONTICELLO-Mrs. Clara Stotler, 70, of 602 Turpie St., Monticello, died at 12:10 a.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. She had been a patient there two weeks and had been ill three months.
Born Dec. 7, 1905, in Grant County, she was the daughter of Thaddeus and Mertie Sloderbeck Cain. She was first married March 29, 1922, to George Preston, who died Oct. 26, 1956. She was then married Oct. 8, 1960 to Franklin Stotler, who survives.
A retired RCA factory employe, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church here.
Surviving with the husband are three sisters, Mrs. Zella Sims, Marietta, Ga.; Mrs. Georgia Small, Sebring, Fla.; and Mrs. Nancy File, Marion; and two brothers, Donald Cain, Marion, and Francis Cain, Bandon, Ore.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Miller-Voorhis Funeral Home, the Rev. Richard Boswell officiating. Burial will be in Pike Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
