Miss Minnie Evelyn Aytch's mother was from Tennessee and her father was from New York. While she was born in Canyonville, Douglas, Oregon. The family spent over ten years living in the Cow Creek, Canyonville and Riddle part of Southwestern Oregon. At least three members of the family, Minnie, Charles and Alonzo, stayed on when their parents and several siblings moved on to the Nez Perce and Lewis Counties of Idaho. Where they farmed and ranched. Their father died not long after moving to Idaho. So far no record has been found of where he died.

Mrs. Minnie Evelyn [Aytch] Tyrer Allen was twice married. Her first marriage was in about 1892, in Oregon, at age nineteen to David C. Tyrer and together they gave birth to six children. Their last child was Charles [Chuck] Arthur Tyrer. In the 1910 U.S. Federal Census for Grants Pass, Mrs. Minnie Allen and her second husband, Mr. William Harvey Allen and three of her sons, David C. Tyrer [12, born Apr 1898], Frank Tyrer [9] and Charlie (Charles) Arthur Tyrer [2] are seen. As the children grew they found work and were on their own. Daughter, Gladys E. Tyrer was born in Oregon, Nov 1893.

Mrs. Minnie Allen died a very painful death from heart disease ans cancer of the stomach on 25 September 1958, at the Douglas County Home where she was able to obtain some health care for pain. She died at 85 years, 05 months, and 08 days of age.

Mr. David C. Tyrer was born in England, in Sept 1868. He said that his mother and father were from South Carolina. In the 1900 U.S. Federal Census David and his wife Minnie are seen living in Medford, Jackson, Oregon. David occupation is listed as, painter and he declares himself to be a U.S. citizen.

Mr. William Harvey Allen was her second Husband. Born on 11 Dec 1872, in Roseburg, Douglas, Oregon and did not marry until his marriage to Mrs. Minnie E. Tyrer in 1910. At that time they were both living in Grants Pass. During the next thirty years they moved around Southwestern Oregon as he worked, as a logger, saw filer in logging camps. By 1940, Harvey was too old for logging and they settled on a small farm in Civil Bend, Douglas, Oregon. Where he reported to be working about 60 hours a week. Mr. Harvey William Allen, died in Roseburg, Douglas County on 29 July 1952. He used, Harvey, as his first name much of his adult life.

Mr. William Harvey Allen's parents were Mr. William M. and Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth [Jones] Allen. His mother was born in Oregon, on 09 Mar 1856 and died on 02 July 1911, in Roseburg, Douglas, Oregon. While his father was born on 09 May 1852, in Coldwater, Branch county, Michigan and died on 24 November 1939, in Roseburg, Douglas, Oregon. Their children were....
