Couchman, Opal E. (nee Baugh) Beloved wife of the late John D. Couchman who died at the age of 43 from wounds suffered in Italy during WWII. Daughter of the late Minnie (Terry) and Leslie J. Baugh. Loving sister of Denver and Edward (late Carolyn) Baugh and the late Ivan (Nellie), David (Maude), Ovis (Isabella), William, Leslie and Roscoe (Blanche) Baugh and infant sister Ophelia. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Born in McKinney, Ky on January 1, 1922 and called to her heavenly home on April 27, 2015, Age 93.

Opal was a seamstress with US Shoe for many years. In Beaumont, TX on Sept. 22, 1984 she was privileged to smash a champagne bottle against the port side of a 755 foot multipurpose Cargo vessel - Christening that ship the PFC William B. Baugh, in honor of her younger brother- a Korean War hero and Congressional Medal of Honor recipient.

Visitation will be held on Friday May 1, 2015 from 10am until time of funeral services at 11am at Minges Funeral Home 10385 New Haven Rd., Harrison, Ohio. Burial to follow at Glen Haven Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 8580 Cheviot Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45251.
