Sgt. Raper was a former member of Battery "F", 131st F.A. Camp Bowie, later transferred to Battery "C" 131st 36th Division and was made a mess sergeant. The 36th Division was stationed at Camp Edwards, Boston, Mass., and later the Division went to North Africa last spring. Memorial services were held for Sgt.
