Norma Lucille Grubaugh was born in 1929 to Samuel Clarence "Babe" Grubaugh and Eva Ermadelle Koonce. She was the third of their six children.
Norma was raised in Vandalia and married Ivan Clifford Ray in Fayette County, IL on 31 Dec 1949.
Norma and Ivan had three children.
Norma died in 2003 after more than 53 years of marriage with Ivan. He died 12 years later, He never remarried.
Per the Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Norma was cremated and the ashes were given to the family. When Ivan died 12 years later, he also was cremated and the ashes combined in a single urn. That urn was taken home by the family.
