Arla Mae Ziehr, 79, of Paxton died at 1:35 p.m. Saturday (May 27, 2006) at home.
Mrs. Ziehr was born April 4, 1927, in Onarga, a daughter of Floyd and Ethel Mae Littell Quick. She married Lloyd E. Ziehr on July 13, 1946, in Gilman. He survives.
Survivors also include a son, Robert Ziehr of Gibson City; three daughters, Cheryl Milligan of Rantoul, Judy Thompson of Paxton and Carol Swanstrom of Gilman; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a great-great-grandson.
Mrs. Ziehr graduated from Gilman High School and lived in Danforth, Piper City and Gilman. She moved to Paxton in 1957 and enjoyed bingo and playing cards.
