Daniel Henderson Agee was the husband of Sarah Ann Keeler. He was born in Gibson County, Tennessee and joined the Methodist church in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi in 1846. He and Sarah settled in Hopkins County in the early 1850's. He fought as a Confederate Soldier in Company K 9 Texas Infantry. He became a Mason in Saltillo Lodge in Aug. 1889.
He was instrumental in building the Methodist Church in Saltillo, Texas which is accross the road from the Old Saltillo Cemetery.
Daniel was a very religious man and raised his family in that manner. His family is still a very important part of Saltillo and the Church and Cemetery.
