Frank J. Ogan, 80, longtime Guymon business man, passed away Saturday evening November 29, 1997 at Coldwater Manor in Stratford, Texas. The son of Lester and Elizabeth (Grice) Ogan, he was born March 15, 1917 in Tyrone, Oklahoma . Frank attended the Tyrone school system graduating with the Class of 1935.

He was united in marriage to Mary Edens on August 23, 1946 at Liberal, Kansas. Mrs. Ogan preceded him in death on April 17, 1986. Frank moved to Guymon from Tyrone in 1946. He owned and operated Western Iron & Salvage for 28 years, retiring in 1991. Mr. Ogan was a member of the Victory Center, the 100F, and an Army Veteran of World War II.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Ogan, one brother Ogan, and a granddaughter, Nikki Ogan. Survivors include one son, Billy Ogan, Hooker, one daughter, Judy and her husband, Mertis Vail of Texhoma, Okla., a granddaughter, Cherry Ogan of Catersville, Georgia, two sister, Esther Apaley of Liberal, Kansas and Norma Edens of Gruver and two brothers, Dexter Ogan of Fresno, California and George Ogan of Weatherford, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning, December 3 at 10 a.m. from the Victory Center with Rev. Charles Mendenhall, officiating. Interment will be in the Elmhurst Cemetery under the direction of the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
