Nila June Rogers, born 1940, parents Frank Walter Grett (1902-1982) and Hilda Martha Ukens (1905-1993). The youngest of 3 children she graduated from Wichita North High School in 1958, attended college in Winfield Kansas, and married William Price Rogers March 6, 1960. They had 3 children, Bryan Price Rogers b.1-11-64, Tamara Kay Johns b.7-12-67, and William Todd Rogers b.11-27-69.
She was more like a sister to me than my aunt. When I spent the summers with my grandparents while she was still in high school, she would take me to movies, go to local burger joints, and listen to records. She had a collection of 78 rpm Elvis, Rosemary Clooney, and other 1950's artists. I have wonderful memories of this time.
