Jackie worked as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Williams, DDS and later Dr. Lane, DDS. Jackie enjoyed the arts and was an accomplished painter and loved working in oils. She was a devoted mother and deeply loved her entire family. Jackie was a very generous person who would give her last dime to anyone in need. Jackie was a woman of great faith. She loved animals and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jackie is survived by her son, Michael Vinay and wife, Kellie of Hendersonville; sisters, Sherry Warlick and husband, Terry of Fletcher, N.C., Jeanie Loria of Hickory and Jamie Burns and husband, Tripp of Hickory; brother, Randy Smith and wife, Hattie of Raleigh; grandchildren, Ella Vinay and Landon Vinay; former husband and lifelong friend, Alan Vinay of Granite Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 27, in the Mausoleum Chapel at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jackie's name to the Hendersonville Inclusive Playground Project at Hendersonville Elementary School.
