Mrs. Collins was born March 29, 1901, in Johnson County, Texas. She married Charles Collins in 1923, in Fort Worth, Texas. She owned and operated Collins Cleaners. She was a member of the Women's Forum and the 10th and Broad Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Minerva Windham-Padilla of Denver; a sister, Grace Pursley of Pursley, Texas.
