Born Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Thurman and Johnnie Spencer. Graduated from Glen Rose High School 1966, and Tarleton State Univ. 1970.
Served as officer in United States Navy 1971-1991. Began career as Naval Intelligence Officer , later flying F14 Tomcats and F4 Phantom aircraft as Radar Intercept Officer (RIO). Served abord USS Kittyhawk during Viet Nam War.
Retired from Navy in 1991 and returned to Glen Rose,Tx later working for American Airlines as pilot simulator trainer.
Survived By wife Gina, son JT, and daughter Mandy. Also two sisters Jan Thompson, Julie Conner and one brother Brad Spencer and several nieces and nephews.
