Mr. Ernest Ridgley, 77 of Lamar, passed away Friday April 24, 2015 at his home.

Ernest was born August 31, 1937 in the South New Hope Community of Russellville to Edward and Jewel (Mooney) Ridgley.

Ernest was a member of the South New Hope Assembly of God Church and was a member of the Pope County Marine Rescue and O.E.M. for 22 Years.

Mr. Ridgley is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Ollie Faye Ridgley; three brothers, J.D. Ridgley, Carrol Ridgley, and Vernil Ridgley.

He is survived by his second wife Louise Smith Ridgley; One daughter, Jana and Randy Tippin of McAlester, OK; two sons, Allen Ridgley of Lamar, and Michael and Sarah Ridgley of Gulfport, MS; four step-daughters, Donna and David Plank of Wright City, OK, Debbie Patterson of Clarksville, Diana and Robert Rainey of Knoxville, and Anna and Tim Holman of Lamar; two step-sons, Danny and Lorie Smith of Paris, and David Smith of Clarksville; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday April 27, 2015 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home. Mr. Ridgley’s funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday April 29, 2015 at the South New Hope Assembly of God in Russellville with Bro. Norman Chenowith and Janice Duvall officiating, burial will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery in Pottsville with past and present members of the Pope County O.E.M. serving as active and honorary pallbearers.
