"Mr. Othman was a lawyer for 30 years with Mobil Oil Corp. here. He retired in 1970.
"He formerly was active on many boards, including the St. Louis Safety Council, the Municipal Opera, the Metropolitan Sewer District and the board of trustees of Pasadena Hills. He was also a senior counselor and life member of the Missouri Bar.
"He was a charter member of the Normandy United Methodist Church, where he served on the finance committee and the board of trustees and was an usher and Sunday school teacher.
"Born and reared in St. Louis, Mr. Othman earned his law degree from Washington University Law School."
