Donald Dare French of Jacksonville, Florida died at the Cross Care Center - he was the son of A. Lee and Josephine Marek French. He graduated from Mount Dora High School, attended the University of Florida, was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps cryptography division during the Korean War, returned to the University and graduated with a bachelor of science in business administration and was employed by Pan American Airways at the Cape Canaveral Missile Range. In 1975, he began working in the finance department of the U.S. Postal Service in their bulk mail center in Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by siblings, Lee French, Jr., David French and Joanne French Hinton.

A Private memorial service was held in Mount Dora, Allen J Harden Funeral Home of Mount Dora handled the arrangements.
